Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American Entrepreneur for more than twenty years. She currently holds the position as the president of Los Angeles Lakers, the National Basketball Association's controlling owners. Buss is a native of California and grew up as part of a wealthy family. Jerry Buss' father was an investor in real estate and was later a part owner of the Lakers and several other companies in the field of sports. Her parents parted ways in 1972 and she began to feel emotionally abandoned. At 19 years old, she joined the family business as the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings professional tennis team. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. She also served as director of the Great Western Forum before assuming the duties of the vice president of the Lakers. Buss inherited the Lakers by her dad in 2013. Her five siblings inherited it through a family trust. The Lakers named her president. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss has also been a partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
