Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer famous for his unique blend of soul gospel jazz R&B and R&B. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, the singer has done work everywhere. Sunshine, whose given name has been given as Denise White. Though she's located in Atlanta, her roots are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she was the first to begin pursuing the musical profession by performing and singing at the church. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta in Spellman College. In 2005, she was the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as Choral Director of Dreamgirls which was a stage production at Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine received national attention for several performances throughout the Democratic National Convention in 2008. Sunshine was invited to perform at Obama's inaugural ceremony in 2009.
